Sergio Carpio, who joined the office in 1999, manages a branch of the office that handles laws relating to alcoholic beverage control, business, civil law, financial institutions, healing arts, housing and community development, land use, local government, private employment, professions and vocations, public contracts, public employment, retirement, state government, taxation and unemployment insurance.

Mr. Carpio received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis.

Mr. Carpio is a member of the California State Bar.
