Melissa Scolari, who joined the office in 2008, is a supervisor in the branch of the office that handles laws relating to air resources, elementary and secondary education, fish and wildlife, food and agriculture, harbors and navigation, hazardous materials, postsecondary education, public resources, public safety, public utilities, solid waste, streets and highways, transportation, and water.
Prior to joining the office, she was a legislative aide for an Assembly Member. She also worked as a legal intern for the California Fair Political Practices Commission.
Ms. Scolari received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She earned a B.A. degree in political science from Humboldt State University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Scolari is a member of the California State Bar.
