Sarah Alexander is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. She joined the office in 2025.
Ms. Alexander is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.
Prior to joining the office, Ms. Alexander worked as an intern and then as a graduate legal assistant for the Office of Legislative Counsel. She also served as an extern for the Supreme Court of California and an intern with Justice Christopher Madrama of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uganda.
Ms. Alexander received her J.D. from Pepperdine University, Caruso School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her undergraduate degree in English from California State University, Northridge, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Alexander is a member of the California State Bar.
