Dana Meyer is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. She joined the office in 2024.

Ms. Meyer is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.

Before joining the office, Ms. Meyer worked as a legal research assistant for the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. She also served as a law clerk for the Lane County, Oregon, Public Defender’s Office.

Ms. Meyer received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, where she was managing editor of the Oregon Review of International Law. She earned her undergraduate degree in European history from the University of Washington. 

Ms. Meyer is a member of the California State Bar.
