Stephen R. Myers is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. He joined the office in 2022.

Mr. Myers is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.

Prior to joining the office, Mr. Myers worked as an associate at a Sacramento public policy consulting firm, as an analyst and law clerk at the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, and as a teacher.

Mr. Myers received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a master’s in public policy and administration from California State University, Sacramento. 

Mr. Myers is a member of the California State Bar.
