Shea Brack is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. She joined the office in 2022.

Ms. Brack is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.

Prior to joining the office, Ms. Brack served as a research attorney with the Sacramento County Superior Court. Before that, she was an associate attorney in private practice. Ms. Brack previously clerked for Associate Chief Justice Ronald E. Nehring at the Utah Supreme Court, and for the Honorable Gregory K. Orme at the Utah Court of Appeals.  

Ms. Brack received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia.

Ms. Brack is a member of the California State Bar.
