Patrick Ting is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. He joined the office in 2022.

Mr. Ting is assigned to the Legislative Services Branch. This branch is responsible for advising Members and legislative staff on legislative procedure, appropriations and the state budget, the Political Reform Act of 1974, election law, litigation, personnel issues, and other legislative matters, and for drafting contracts and leases.

Prior to joining the office, his legal career included service as a supervising attorney at Legal Services of Northern California in Sacramento and as a law clerk at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.

Mr. Ting received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law and his undergraduate degree in business economics from University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Ting is a member of the California State Bar.
