Nikki Rossetta is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. She joined the office in 2021.

Ms. Rossetta is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to alcoholic beverage control, business, civil law, financial institutions, healing arts, housing and community development, land use, local government, private employment, professions and vocations, public contracts, public employment, retirement, state government, taxation, and unemployment insurance.

Prior to joining the office, Ms. Rossetta worked as a judicial extern to Associate Justice Ronald B. Robie of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District; as a legal intern at the Office of Legislative Counsel; and as a legal intern with the California Department of Justice, Office of Legislative Affairs.

Ms. Rossetta received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, as an Anthony M. Kennedy Fellow, with honors that included earning five Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence, and graduating on the Dean’s Honor List. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Oregon State University, where she graduated cum laude.

Ms. Rossetta is a member of the California State Bar.
