Ronny Hamed-Troyansky

Ronny Hamed-Troyansky is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. He joined the office in 2015.

Mr. Hamed-Troyansky is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.

Prior to joining the office, Mr. Hamed-Troyansky served as a summer intern at the Office of Legislative Counsel and a judicial extern for the Honorable Kimberly J. Mueller at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He worked as a law clerk at a private law firm, focusing on immigration law, and a Sacramento County Bar Association Diversity Fellow at a private law firm, focusing on employment and labor law. In law school, he also served as a teaching assistant in legal research and writing, a research assistant for a United Nations human rights memorandum, and a law clerk at an immigration law clinic.

Mr. Hamed-Troyansky received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law, where he received Witkin Awards in Legal Research & Writing I, Legislative Process, International Human Rights, and Advanced Topics in Immigration and Citizenship Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology, with a minor in anthropological sciences, from Stanford University.

Mr. Hamed-Troyansky is a member of the California State Bar.
