Christopher LaGrassa is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. He joined the office in 2018.

Mr. LaGrassa is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to alcoholic beverage control, business, civil law, financial institutions, healing arts, housing and community development, land use, local government, private employment, professions and vocations, public contracts, public employment, retirement, state government, taxation and unemployment insurance.

Prior to joining the office, Mr. LaGrassa worked as an associate attorney at a private law firm, where he practiced municipal and political law. Prior to that, he served as a law clerk at the City of Elk Grove City Attorney’s Office, the Fair Political Practices Commission, and a private law firm.

Mr. LaGrassa received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in political science from University California, Irvine.

Mr. LaGrassa is a member of the California State Bar.
