Michelle Samore is a deputy legislative counsel. She joined the office in 2005.

Ms. Samore is assigned to a branch in the office that handles laws relating to alcoholic beverage control, business, civil law, financial institutions, healing arts, housing and community development, land use, local government, private employment, professions and vocations, public contracts, public employment, retirement, state government, taxation and unemployment insurance.

Prior to joining the office, Ms. Samore worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Barry Russell, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California. She also held law clerk positions at the California Attorney General's office and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Ms. Samore received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated with honors.

Ms. Samore is a member of the California State Bar. She served as the Community Liaison for the Constitutional Law and Civil Rights Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
