Stacy Saechao

Stacy Saechao is a Deputy Legislative Counsel. She joined the office in 2012.

Ms. Saechao is assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation.

Prior to joining the office, Ms. Saechao worked as a law clerk for the California Department of Resources, Recycling and Recovery, as a law clerk for the Office of the California Attorney General, Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section, as a legal intern for the California Senate Rules Committee, as a legal intern for the Planning and Conservation League, and as a law student volunteer for the charitable organization My Sister’s House.

Ms. Saechao received her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where she graduated with distinction, is a member of the Order of the Coif and the Traynor Honor Society, and received a Capital Certificate in Public Law and Policy. She earned her undergraduate degree in social work from California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Ms. Saechao is a member of the California State Bar, the Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Asian Bar Association of Sacramento.
