Natalie Moore is a deputy legislative counsel. She joined the office in 2009.
Ms. Moore is assigned to the Opinion Branch, which develops and presents, either in written or oral form, the formal legal opinions of the Office of Legislative Counsel.
Ms. Moore was previously assigned to a branch of the office that handles laws relating to courts, criminal law, estates and trusts, family law, gaming, health and care facilities, health care service plans, health insurance, insurance, juveniles, Medi-Cal, military and veterans, prevailing wage, public health, public social services, vehicles, and workers’ compensation. She has also worked in the branch of the office that drafts laws regarding elementary and secondary education.
Prior to joining the office, Ms. Moore practiced family law in Sacramento, El Dorado, and Yolo Counties. While attending law school, she was a law clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad legal department. Ms. Moore also worked as a law clerk for the private law firm, Carlten, DiSante & Frenderberger, which specializes in employment law.
Ms. Moore received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law. She was the copy editor for the “Journal of Juvenile Law and Policy.” Ms. Moore received the Witkin Award for Family Law and the Imwinkelried-Clark Scholarship. She earned her undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento where she graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Moore is a member of the California State Bar.
